Sblurp docs
Sblurp is chat for communities, like Slack or Discord. Each community runs its own server. One Sblurp account signs you in to all of them.
How it fits together
- sblurp.chat holds accounts. It signs you in and nothing else. It never sees your messages.
- A community server holds one community: its channels, messages, files and members. Anyone can run one. The server is open source.
- The app at app.sblurp.chat shows every community you belong to as an icon on the left. It talks to each community server directly.
Servers do not talk to each other. Only the login is shared. Think of IRC networks with one shared login.
Run your own community
Not a developer? You can probably set up a server by asking an AI assistant, such as Claude, to do it for you. Read Set up a server with AI.
Developer? Start with the Quick start. It uses Render. Railway, Fly.io, DigitalOcean, any VPS, Docker Compose and Podman also work.
